Waxing FAQ's

We use professional grade, hypoallergenic hard and soft waxes. These waxes are gentle on the skin and remove hair effectively. If you any questions or concerns with the type of wax used in your service please feel free to reach out. We do not offer sugaring at this time.

Short answer, yes. Long answer, it's not as bad as you've might have heard. It also depends on an individual's pain tolerance. If you are sensitive to pain we recommend taking pain medicine (tylenol, ibrubrofen, aleve, ect) between 30 minutes to 1 hour before your appointment. Avoid taking aspirin. Numbing creams exist on the market but are not recommended because the can cause increased heat sensitivity.

First time waxes are typically more uncomfortable, but with regular waxing, your hair will begin to thin and become easier to remove. Discomfort experienced during bikini waxes can also vary due how close you are to your menstrual cycle.

If it is your first time getting waxed after shaving or using depilatory creams (Nair, Veet), you have to wait at least two weeks before you can have the service performed. If the hair is not long enough, you are less likely to have smooth waxing results or may be advised to wait for the hair to grow out longer. If you have been waxed previously, at least 4 weeks of hair growth is needed for an effective wax service.

Before your appointment we ask that you come in clean and sanitary. Please remember to exfoliate in the shower before your appointment to help loosen up your hair follicles for an easier removal. If you are on your menstrual cycle, that's perfectly fine! As long as you have a fresh tampon or menstrual cup in, feel free to come in.

Yes! Men deserve to be a hair free just like women. We offer full body wax services for men, including male brazilians.
